The Science Behind Cyclone
(source-google)
Hello future scientists, I am your uncle globe, back with a new blog. Today we will discuss about the Cyclones. Let's start.
What we call a Storm is scientifically called a Cyclone. Even the scientific name differs in various places of the world, like in Bay of Bengal, it called as "Cyclone" but in Carrabian Sea, it called "Hurricane" and in China sea, it called "Typhoon". All of them are the same but scientists from different regions call them differently.
Now let's try to understand the reason behind the formation of a Cyclone. To understand how Cyclones are formed firstly you need to know about the high air pressure and the low air pressure. When there is more air in atmosphere, means the density of air in atmosphere of a perticular place is higher than the normal air pressure is called High air pressure and when the density of air in atmosphere of a perticular place is lower than normal is called Low air pressure. Barometer is the gadget to measure air pressure and the unit is "atm" short form of atmosphere. Whenever a perticular place gets hotter the air of that place also gets hot, and as we know hot air is lighter than the cold air because heat creates less dense air. This hot, less dense and ultimately light air gose up making that perticular place air less. When a place become air less, the relatively cold air from surrounding areas rushes to that perticular place. It's a normal phenomenon. But if this happens very fast then the air from surrounding areas rushed to the air less area faster than usual and will create a stormy cyclone. Only low air pressure can create a stormy cyclone.
You may have seen a satelite picture of a Cyclone and it's rotating like a fan, why it rotate? It's because, the dense air is coming from every direction towards a one place so they can not reach to the centre straight. They simply rotate around the center where the air pressure is very low and try to fill up the air less center. If you look at the satelite image of a Cyclone you can sea the center Very clear, it is called the eye of a Cyclone. The eye is that air less area. Do you know, the direction of the rotation of a Cyclone vari on different hemisphere. In north hemisphere a cyclone rotates anticlockwise 🔄 and in south hemisphere it rotates clockwise 🔃. This opposite rotation is caused by the rotation of myself, the earth.
There were many big cyclones that peoples of earth had faced, Like, Super Cyclone of Odisha in 1999, it's speed was 260 km/h, the Hurricane Katrina in 2005, it's speed was 280 km/h and the Typhoon Tip in 1979, it's speed was 305 km/h, it was the biggest typhoon ever recorded.
Ok friends, this is the end of our little discussion. I will be back with a new topic, till then goodbye.

Hope some new topic arises soon . Keep it upp!!
